Last updated: October 2, 2026

Furever Near ("we", "us", "our") operates this store and website, including all related information, content, features, tools, products and services (the "Services"). Our store is powered by Shopify. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and disclose your personal information when you visit, use or buy from the Services, or otherwise communicate with us. If there is a conflict between our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy controls with respect to your personal information.

By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy and understand how your information is collected, used and disclosed as described here.

Personal Information We Collect

"Personal information" means information that identifies, or can reasonably be linked to, you or another person. It does not include anonymous or de-identified information. Depending on how you use the Services and where you live, we may collect:

  • Contact details: your name, billing and shipping address, phone number and email address.
  • Payment information: payment method, transaction details and payment confirmation. Card payments are processed by our payment providers; we do not see or store your full card number.
  • Account information: your username, password, preferences and settings, if you create an account.
  • Order and transaction information: items you view, add to your cart or wishlist, purchase, return, exchange or cancel, and any personalisation details you give us for your order (such as a pet's name).
  • Communications: information you include when you contact us, for example in a customer support request.
  • Device information: your device, browser and network connection, IP address and other unique identifiers.
  • Usage information: how and when you interact with and navigate the Services.

Where We Get Your Personal Information

  • Directly from you, when you create an account, place an order, use the Services or contact us.
  • Automatically, from your device through cookies, pixels and similar technologies (see "Cookies, Pixels and Advertising" below).
  • From our service providers, when they collect or process information on our behalf.
  • From advertising and marketing partners, such as Meta and TikTok, for example information about how you interacted with our ads.

How We Use Your Personal Information

  • To provide and improve the Services: to process payments, fulfil and ship orders, handle returns and exchanges, manage your account, send order and account notifications, enable reviews, and tailor and improve your shopping experience.
  • Marketing and advertising: to send marketing emails or texts where you have agreed to receive them, and to show you online ads for our products, including ads based on your activity on our store (see "Cookies, Pixels and Advertising").
  • Security and fraud prevention: to secure the Services and your account, and to detect, investigate and prevent fraudulent, illegal or harmful activity. If you create an account, please keep your login details safe and do not share them.
  • Communicating with you: to provide customer support and respond to your requests.
  • Legal reasons: to comply with applicable law, respond to valid legal requests, and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

We process your personal information on the following legal bases:

  • Contract: to process and deliver your orders, handle returns and exchanges, and provide customer support.
  • Consent: for non-essential cookies, advertising pixels, and marketing emails or texts where consent is required. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interests: to keep the Services secure, prevent fraud and improve our store, where these interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Legal obligation: to keep records for tax and accounting purposes and to comply with applicable law.

How We Disclose Personal Information

We may share your personal information with:

  • Shopify and other service providers who work on our behalf, for example for payment processing, IT, data analytics, customer support, cloud storage, fulfilment and shipping.
  • Fulfilment partners, including suppliers located outside the EEA, who receive your name, shipping address, phone number and order details so they can produce and ship your order.
  • Advertising platforms, including Meta and TikTok, as described in "Cookies, Pixels and Advertising" below. These partners use your information in line with their own privacy policies.
  • Others at your direction, for example when you ask us to ship a gift to someone else or use a social media login.
  • In connection with legal or business events, such as complying with legal obligations, responding to lawful requests, enforcing our terms, protecting our rights, or a merger, sale or restructuring of our business.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to opt out of us sharing your information for targeted advertising. See "Your Rights and Choices" below.

Cookies, Pixels and Advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies on the Services. Some are strictly necessary for the store to work, for example to keep items in your cart and process checkout. Others are used for analytics and advertising. For visitors in the EEA and UK, these are only set if you consent through our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings on our website.

We use the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API (provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited) and the TikTok Pixel and TikTok Events API (provided by TikTok Technology Limited). We use them to measure how well our ads perform, to show our ads to people who may be interested in our products, and to show you ads after you have visited our store. Depending on your choices, this may involve sharing:

  • the pages you view, items you add to your cart, and your checkouts and purchases;
  • your device and browser information and IP address;
  • contact details such as your email address, phone number, name and location (city, region, postal code, country).

Where possible, contact details are hashed (converted into an unreadable code) before they are shared. Meta and TikTok may combine this information with other information they hold about you and use it in line with their own policies: the Meta Privacy Policy and the TikTok Privacy Policy. You can also manage your ad preferences in your Meta and TikTok account settings.

Relationship with Shopify

The Services are hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your use of the Services to provide and improve them. Information you submit may be transferred to and shared with Shopify and third parties located in other countries. We also use certain Shopify enhanced features that use data from your interactions with our store, other merchants and Shopify. For these features, Shopify is responsible for processing your personal information, including responding to requests to exercise your rights. To learn more, see the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and the Shopify Privacy Portal.

The Services may link to websites or platforms run by third parties. We are not responsible for their privacy or security practices, so please review their policies. Information you share on public platforms, including social networks, may be visible to others.

Children's Data

The Services are not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of majority in their jurisdiction. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it. We do not knowingly "sell" or "share" (as defined by applicable law) the personal information of anyone under 16.

Security and Retention

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information, but no security measures are perfect, and information sent over the internet may not be secure in transit. Please do not send sensitive information to us through unsecure channels.

We keep your personal information only as long as we need it to provide the Services, maintain your account, meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our policies.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights. These rights are not absolute and may be limited by law.

  • Access: request access to the personal information we hold about you.
  • Deletion: request that we delete your personal information.
  • Correction: request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Portability: receive a copy of your personal information or have it transferred to a third party.
  • Opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising: depending on where you live, including certain US states, you may opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information or its use for targeted advertising. You can do this through the privacy choices link on our website. If you visit with the Global Privacy Control signal enabled, we will treat it as an opt-out request for that browser and device, and for your account where we can link the two. We do not respond to other "Do Not Track" signals.
  • Marketing communications: you can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in the email. We may still send you non-promotional messages about your orders or account.

If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to:

  • Object to or restrict processing of your personal information for certain purposes.
  • Withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent. This does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it.

To exercise your rights, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity first. You may use an authorised agent, but we will ask for proof that they are acting for you. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights, and we aim to respond within 30 days.

Complaints

If you have a complaint about how we handle your personal information, please contact us first. Depending on where you live, you may be able to appeal our decision or complain to your local data protection authority. In Ireland, this is the Data Protection Commission (www.dataprotection.ie).

International Transfers

We may transfer, store and process your personal information outside the country where you live. This includes transfers to countries where our service providers, advertising partners and fulfilment partners operate, including the United States and China. Where we transfer personal information out of the EEA or UK, we rely on recognised safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (or the UK equivalent), unless the destination country has been found to provide adequate protection.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for legal or regulatory reasons. We will post the updated policy on this website, update the "Last updated" date, and give notice where required by law.
